    You really never played XI did you? XI had more gold farming issues than Lineage 2 and the economy was crippled so badly we were all forced to buy adena...until Square-Enix stepped in and started banning a crap load of sellers.
    
    No, it can't be stopped (farming) but it can be limited and conroled to a certain extent. Lineage 2 had NO form of control. You even get banned for talking about the bots on the forums.

  • Alright guys, lets wait for private servers to come up. I for one will play this game 3 months tops because by then the game is going to be crippled by farmers.
    
    Yes, every game has farmers, but certain games are affected by them more than others (anyone who played Final Fantasy XI knows how badly they destroyed the game until they got massively banned).
    
    So either they hire staff dedicated to screwing over/banning farmers or we run to private servers after private server.

    I know, but I swear to God that NCSoft (the Lineage 2 team at least) has a contract with the adena farmers. It's a well known fact that people get flamed for mentioning about bots.
    
    No, we're not going to live with them. Square-Enix took it's slow ass time to start banning bots, but they sure as hell saved the economy. Lineage 2, psh, it doesn't do crap.
    
    The way I see it is quite simply, either they deal with bots with the way Blizzard does (massive bans each month) or 80% of the player base is going to private servers, and I KNOW there will be private servers.

  • If you have the orignal PSU, do you need the expansion to access the content? And if so, are there cd keys involved this time?
    
    I am not buying a game that everyone else is pirating + SEGA decides to not invest into CD keys again.
