Thanks for the response guys. Yeah I was wondering whether or not you needed the game time to actually activate your account, as I don't want to use a debit/credit card. I'm guessing that I do to activate the account and the 30 free days.
I just didn't want to get the game home on sunday and have to go all the way back into town again to get a game time card :]

Returning to WOW after realising my piss poor computer can't handle anything else.
Currently playing the 10 day trial. Which ends on Wednesday. I'm planning on buying the retail game on sunday then buying time cards rather than Subscribe.
My question is do I have to buy a time card AND the retail box to activate the 30 day free, Or can I just get the retail box, use the 30 days then buy a time card at the end of it.
