Wells lets point out the unique apects to the game:
Theres THREE ways to cap out for one, grinding, questing, OR PVP, unlike some where you have to gain cap before the 'main features' are accessibile WAR could and will if you let it.. throw you stright into the RVR war and you can actally STAY RVRing all the way to cap and all the time your RVRing actally matters instead of this, 'oh your not capped, you don't matter', this is a great turn on for the game as it doesn't force you to grind before you can do what you want.
Lore: The Tomb of knowlege is 100% the core to this, it'll open up so much of the main Warhammer Fantasy lore not just the game's interpation of it, Warhammer's strongest points is it's story and lore, you may not know your Squigs from your Spawn of Tzeench but by time you cap you will :)
The correct balance of instance vs open world, MOST of RVR seems to be open world, however from the interviews it looks like they've instanced where it matters not just for the sake of it, for instance the whole world gets a nice open battlefeild to fight on for the seige warfere but for city sacking once you've opened up the pinyata it spits the community up so that everyone gets a fair shot at the king not just sit back and miss out because the leet guild has already tagged him.
Public Questing.. Raiding as we know it begone!!! No more trying to find a group to an instance to get some loot or RVR done you'll just walk into an area and up will pop an objective and even if you turn up on the last bit of it it seems you get a bit of reward just for clonking a few things with your sword, fun.
to me it looks like their not trying to rush you into a dead end and draining your cash via being in towns all the time either AFK or spamming in LFG, you can have fun doing what you want from day one and not being rushed by it, I really hoping WAR takes off as just the ideas could really change MMOing from a leetest rat race to somthing thats actally fun
*Looks at his current lvl 32 LM and 22 Minstrel* /scream, noooooo...
Loving the fact legendary items will be 'forged', CRAFTING WORKS!!!, shame most of the gear required could end up dropping for the Balrog in 1s and 2s, but new classes to play at least beefing up the caster side :P
I think someone's already nailed it on the head but people here are stuck in the 'personal loss' death thinking and not really thinking what WAR actally is, unlike WoW/EQ/LOTRO and others like in 'you' and your small band of friends aren't 'the heroes and only hope for the world' in WAR, the whole FACTON is, you are in an army, everyone's death still matters..
Right think of it this way, if you die in combat either in defence or attack, you are taken out of the fight thus meaning the force would lose strength, if you happen to be a healer or a tank thats worse, either way it's one less person on the front so the other faction has more of a chance of swarming you, thus losing the attack or allowing the opposing faction to gain ground into your protected zones via yours and your freinds death giving that faction RP and capturing your factions caturable points giving them more points, thus giving them a huge foothold to take your cities to give them a greater chance via buffs and debuffs in beating you.
Warhammer Fantasy has always been about army combat, no one sole character has been able to win on their own, WAR is no different, in a game which requires numbers, points and buffs to win, time is a huge factor

Yup kinda blows the 'cartoony gfx' critics out the water there: note the refections on the choppaz, if the engine is done correctly it could rivial LOTRO and EVE, much like AO's overhall this year. I swaer CVG had some reason Chaos ones..
So by this people beleave the following:
Warhammer originated with the MMO.
'Warhammer Online' and Warhammer are the same and is owned by Mythic...
BUZZ!! WRONG!
Right this time I'll throw a little proof at you norrow minded lot.
'Warhammer Online' doesn't exsist for one, the MMO's offical title is Warhammer: Age of Reckoning (notice how the highlighed letters spell WAR... kinda gives it away) ALL related products state the same name.
Notice how the Book states the WAR name yet the comic just states Warhammer, if the book came with the beta invite then I'd understand the ranting but it's just a general Warhammer product from Games Workshop and Boom Comics other then the actal beta key it's NOT Mythic related, yet you all seem to be on an EA which hunt, 'they are evil and tring to steal all our money off us', yea right, have a tin foil hat please, or you guys are just pure trolls trying to find reasons to piss on one of the UK's best known IP exports (next to Doctor Who and Red Drawf)
Back up your 'opinions' with fact before you spout crap out
