Aion and Spellborn honestly interest me more than Darkfall. Sure darkfall is promising a lot of interesting things, but it reeks of being just another game promising more than it can realisticly deliver. I'm not getting my hopes up again just to be disappointed...again.
I don't think so at all, and I don't think Spellborn will fail. First of all, it's devs have actually been honest and open about everything. Second, Spellborn doesn't promise to redefine the genre, it promises things that are slightly new, and seem very entertaining. The main thing is that what it promises is actually attainable, so there's less of a chance of disappointment. Its also an original IP, so there won't be any fans of the novels or miniatures that its based on to be disappointed when the game is different than they wanted it to be.
it's already been confirmed that Acclaim will publish the US Version. I'm not sure if a release date for the US version has been set yet, sadly.
now all they have left to do is fire Erling the dough-boy.
Honestly, if you like PvE more than PvP, as I do (though I did enjoy warhammer's pvp), you WILL get bored with warhammer, and most likely very fast.
Warhammer is not a bad game. In fact, the pvp is EXCELLENT. It's even better than Dark Age of Camelot, in my opinion. The problem that WAR has is that it sacrifices any sort of decent pve for it's excellent pvp. I need something to do that's fun outside pvp, and Warhammer simply doesn't offer it.
I voted wait for something better, as that's what I'm doing. Spellborn looks quite promising (as long as Acclaim doesn't ruin it, knock on wood).
What aspect of MMORPG's are you more into?
