    Tab target doesn't target nearest first. This is one thing in the game that I find to be pretty messed up and in need of fixing.

    This is because TAB targeting cycles you throw available opponents. There's is also a command to target the nearest enemy, I believe N is the default hotkey. If you wished, you could simply switch these around and make TAB the hotkey for target nearest.

  • The pretty side is always more popular in MMOs. What can be gleaned from these polls is that the hardcore community prefers playing the bad guys. The hardcore community is a minority, however, so it doens't have that much impact on the overall population spread at launch. The casual gamers will ultimately decide which side has the most players.

    A similar situation is World of WarCraft. Before the game was released, all polls on the forums showed Horde being massively more popular than Alliance. Come release, Alliance practically doubled Horde in numbers. It's less severe these days, but Alliance is still significantly bigger, despite Horde racial abilities and Blood Elves, the mother of pretty races, being added to Horde.

    Fortunately WAR has the dark elves, and while Chaos are ugly humans, they are still humans, and thus will be more popular than say, trolls and taurens. So with any luck, WAR will be more balanced naturally due to this. In addition, there's a Realm-based queuing system to prevent one side from dominating a server too much.
