In most battles you have Red vs. Blue, Dark Vs. Light.
No one has a side anymore because no one knows what to believe with the game. You have people that hate Darkfall, flaming other people that hate darkfall. People that are looking forward to the game, are yelling and name calling people who want the game too.
Honestly though this board is out of control.
Information comes out that provides only a bit of proof, but nothing to 100% assure anyone that the game will come out, or is not coming out.
I think the MMORPG staff should realize this board is breeding a community you dont want.
The Board needs to come down true as that, until a real game is presented or the company closes shop.

And if anyone knows my posts about Darkfall, you know i neither support it, nor deny its exsistence.
THis board is just full of smartarses trying to gank anyone they can... Better boards exist to discuss the game.
"No one has a side anymore", speak for yourself not for me some of us know our own minds. For some reason you seem to think that you know more than MMORPG about DF maybe you do.
Yet another pointless post adding little value. I think you ar etaking yourself too seriously don't just move on.

I like that map. It really looks as a real map should do.
And from what i have heard, there wont be much more information available from the world map ingame. Wich is a good thing. Then you need to talk to people or go there yourselve to get to know the latest (secret) news.
Conversely from what I hear it's pretty much the same as most other games (fully revealed, etc, which is not a bad thing) plus a real time weather report. Vanilla WoW, for instance, had fog of war on the map while DF will not.
If you think it is the same as most other games you are wrong based on what the developers have stated.

The mystery of the game at release will be a big seller.
For whom? Do you feel more inclined to purchase something the less you know about it beforehand?
Knowing about the game is one thing knowing the world and it's landscape, it's content another.
So in the context of my statement the product being DF (MMO) a computer game yes.
Now if a copy of the game was 20,000$ per unit then I may do some research but when the game will be of the normal cost per unit worst case 50$, it's pennies so no real loss from my perspective.
You need to replace "purchase something" with DF as my comment was specific to a game and DarkFall.

The ingame Map will take annotation. So each individual will have their own notes.

Aye, easy access for information can be helpful to many !
Yup, its really the only one youll ever need.
What's wrong? Getting too hot around here? Figure it's easier to get people to drink the kool-aid if theres' no dissenting opinion?
for info.
Aside from questing, what do you spend most of your time doing in-game?
