  • tired... of all these posts, ain't almost ALL mmorpg's the same when it comes to combat? Wow didn't bring anything we havn't seen before.

    I'm awestruck by how awful AOC ended up being. In-game and also with their policies.

    Quite sad post. You're being banned for cheating, then you suddenly hate that game? 

    If you now are innocent as you are saying, why do you not just do as they say and contact them? Instead of trolling? I hope WAR will do the same, ban cheaters and lock the forumposts the accused make. (Why? Because it's impossible to tell who is innocent or guilty on a forum, they just becomes TROLLS!! )

    It turned out that like AoC (even with my gimped assassin, but I do not have any performance issues as some ppl are experiencing.), I think I'll like WAR also since I loved DAoC and got faith in the developers. The mmorpg market needs some fresh blood. I just wish atleast one of them make it, funcom patches as they have a fork up their butts which earns them some of my faith.

    It depends on how you see it, ofcourse it will be better optimised over time. But alot of people think they can run it on a midrange rig in High with all effects. (I've read alot of those posts) And ofcourse there is alot of people who has problems as there usually are when new BIG games are released. Sad but true.

    None of my 5 irl friends playing do have any of these problems. It runs ok with regards to their currend HW.

    It's also hard to estimate exactly how many that got these problems. Rumors are there is over 800 000 copies sold, if that's true, and it ran like shit for most people, it would be even more activity on the forums. (Dont get me wrong here, I know there are issues, but estimating the amount of people who has them is almost impossible).

    But I agree to some of what you are saying, performance can always be improved, and fixes for various hardware configurations has to be applied.

    I can say that I think it runs ok, atleast on my rig.
    Q6600@3150Mhz, 4GB ram, 9800gtx 512mb, SB X-FI gamer and Vista x64 sp1.
    
    Running at 1680x1050 High + 4xAA + High textures + bloom.
    
    Out in the wilderness I get around 55(+-15)fps, cities 40(+-15)fps, Dungeons usually over 100fps.
    
    BUT this game has been out a few days, there's always alot of performance issues after releases this big, and they can't be fixed in the blink of an eye. It takes time, sad but true.

    But for you with that very very old computer and outdated gfx card, it's not very strange that you can't run the game as you would like. So since you are so well paid, why don't you buy some new hardware. My old rig was almost the same as your current one, and it was 4 years old, so I bought this one early this spring.
