Just walk away now, this will be story based leveling, the action is at endgame as in RvR type of battles between Evil and Good.
The game does look better, the reason for that is the show was shot in Vancouver and they rarely left the lot. It's also a lot easier to create great game graphics then CGI for episode after episode of SG, I'm talking money here not artistic talent. I must say I've enjoyed the show for 14 years now. The acting to me is better then Dr Who (any season) and more fun to watch then any sit com.
Just watched the Movie on Blue Ray, very nice. Watched some of the commentary on SG and saw that they used the same trees only shot from another angle, makes it nice and cheap to shot.

Any MMOG with instancing is a failure to me. Offer a non instanced world and you have a winner.
On the flip side, you get in a party for quest "X", you do the quest and the group breaks up /sigh it was just getting fun. That last was my experiance in TR and AoC. Not much incentive to play nice.
Crafting should be in every game, the goal of any MMO is paid Subs, not pleasing every pvp'er out there that is too impatient to sit and craft useful items. Not saying everyone should craft but it should be an option, and I think the crafted gear should be as good as any mob drop. For raid bosses, crafters should need an item from the boss to make an uber staff of wormhole extreme.
I think SGW will have end game content and a story line to get you there from the start. They have said the journey to cap would be fairly easy as it's all about the endgame. Which sounds like it would be RvR type of PvP. That sounds fun to me.
If each world is as big as Vanguard's then I'm set for ten years of gaming :P That's great to have 20 worlds ready to go. I can't see them being as small as a zone in another game, that seems too small for a "World"
I'm hoping each world will have a few zones of its own. Only time will tell but I'm not expecting anything really revolutionary here. I think crafting will be fun and the puzzles will make us use our brain a bit instead of the ol "mash the macro" crud we see in too many games.
They canceled the 'high score game gets tickets' as someone could have cheated, it is now a random drawing.
What characteristics of an MMORPG do you look at most?
