I always played in the past at 1600x1200, now I'm playing at 1920x1440 (4:3), so I'm pretty sure it can support 1920x1080.

Seriously. Wanting to be able to jump and fall doesn't mean you want to bunny jump all the time. It's the feeling of freedom. Not being able to jump makes me feel like I'm glued to the ground, it's not a feeling I like to have when playing a game.
I understand your complain, many ask for jump.
But if you make a step further in the game knowledge, you will understand that the absence of jump is not a missing feature but an intended behaviour: the whole planet is a big 'quest' for itself in their obstacles and trapping path. Jump would exploit a lot of the knowledge you need for the paths while traveling, being able to save your yourself jumping from a hill is not something possible in Atys: if you choose the wrong path, you fall trapped and need a lot of effort to save yourself from death. It's part of the game design.
Many people think there is not the z-axis in game, but this is not true.
It would be possible to change the world to allow jumping and preserving the difficult in travelling, but it would require a lot of changes in the textures and in the collision system, so I don't think this can be a high priority job for the developers.
Anyway, who knows? Actually the game just reopened and it's still in a sort of new 'beta', so it's possible that it will be done in the future.

grRRRRREvery 30 minutes or so I CTD with a bluescreen and my pc reboots. I can usually play for hours in other games.
The bluescreen goes so fast I cant read it - Any thoughs please?
Thanks
Can't help much on blue screens. Most of the people here don't suffer that kind of crash.
It can be a drivers (graphic or audio) problem, system cooling or defective RAM.
Try first to disable sounds. If it stops crashing then the audio drviers are the problem.
Download and run memtest to check your RAM.
Not sure what to say about system cooling.
Anyway if you play other games with no problems, expecially newer games) then the problem is in the drivers.
If you can report us any other message (if any) you get before the reboot, it could helps.

Gilgameesh, that worked!!
..but now I'm getting error code 1.
I've read the tech tips regarding that, but am a little worried since all the posts are from like 2005. Any additional advice regarding error code1?
I already tried turning off firewall, but that didnt work.
Thanks
Error code 1 means the client can't connect to the auth server.
Another possibility, other than the firewall, is that simply the client still try to point at the old, outdated, server address.
Try to download the fixer here: forums.ryzom.com/showthread.php
Read and follow all the instructions in that post.
Hope to see you soon in Atys :)
NB: one of the suggestions there say to delete the file client.cfg, so, if you do that step, remember to add the line i told you in my previous post, after you have ran the fix.
So, to be more clear:
1. download the fixer;
2. delete the file client.cfg;
3. run the fixer;
4. edit the file client.cfg to add the line i posted in my previous post;
5. configure the game with ryzom_configuration_rd.exe;
6. run the client and login into ryzom.

When I try to lauch Ryzom I get this error
Missing Required GL extension: GL_ARB_multitexture.
I have a GeForce8800 and my drivers are the most current. I read on the offical forums that you can make an adjustment in the optinos section with config HOWEVER - I get this error while launching the game and as a result can't even get to the options screen.
I also cannot register on teh official forums. I downloaded the client from ryzom's main page, it is version 637.
Thanks
I strongly suggest you to use DirectX instead of OpenGL.
You can launch the configurator without launching the client: go to the Ryzom folder and you'll find the executable 'ryzom_configuration_rd.exe'. It will give you all the options to setup your graphics and sound without launching the game client.
Edit: sorry didn't read all the posts :P Okay let try this:
In the ryzom folder, edit with notepad the file: client.cfg (don't change client_default.cfg) and add this line (or change it if already present):
Driver3D = "Direct3D";
Then try to start the offline configurator ryzom_configuration_rd.exe.
