From all that has been said this game seems interesting.
Full Loot on death: It hurts wether the game is or is not item based. It will not matter that you have another set stored in your Vault or Bank, it will hurt you and thats it.
Why?
You had full Heavy copper armor, a round copper shield, an iron long sword. You also had some jewelry equipped and you had some loot in your backpack that you got from some enemies you defeated. Gankin69 kills you and takes everything you had. Now you lost all those items and will have to take 2 options:
- go to your vault or bank and take out your other set or equipment
- make all the items you lost or buy them
In both options you will in the long run as an effect of the Full Loot Law you have to waste money and time to remake your stuff again because you will want to have another set just in case, and because since you didnt have any other set to begin with you have to remake it.
Another effect losing earlier has on you is that you from now on are an easier target for other players to kill. You have no armor protection or weapon to attack. You will have to start killing very close to the town until you are prepared enough to start adventuring again.
Now this did hurt you. That is what full loot does.
On another subject...
Will there be ZERO as in 0 instancing or just some dungeons be instanced? With 0 instancing even in dungeons I just see a very very big flaw in the game.
Is it PVP anywhere? Even towns? Because if there are no NPC Guards then another big flaw and that would make the game even more hardcore! Imagine having to always be afraid when you take items out of your vault or are selling in the town, being afraid of getting killed by any player?
And I dont know if Im the only one thinking like this but, this will literaly be a gangbanging pvp. No QUARTERS! Since its pvp anywhere I just have to wait close to a town for a player full of monster drops, kill him and profit from what he did.
Is that being taken into consideration by the developers? And this game IS hardcore.
2 different art styles. If that is hard to understand then let me make it more easy.
WoW=Cartoon Network(Billy and Mandy show or Dexters Laboratory)
EQ2, Lotro, TR, and AoC=Anime(Avatar, Samurai Champloo, Bleach, Naruto, Afro Samurai)
Now I hope that is understandable by all. They are both different in art styles, one is IMO done for little kids(Cartoon Network) and the other attracts both little kids and more adult people.
If we forgot about art styles and just talked about graphcs in general then WoW would be in the bottom of this short list:
EQ2, Lotro, AoC,TR
WoW, Wizard101, Istaria, Knight Online

Very very friendly. They help alot for the new players and always stick together.
One goal they have now is to get more lvl 50 players so they can plan a kinship members raid to one of those raid areas.

why? even if they dont you can get a pre paid debit card.
