I remember running in a group of 20 to the Tusken Fort from Mos Espa....Congo line fashion. Was one of the best times I had.
There's something to be said for the introduction of vehicles (and the vehicle bug that followed - certainly f'd up the major cities) and how it removed that frontier feeling. That being said, I didn't start to miss the one hour trek to the Tusken Fort. ![]()

Interesting to make some comparrisons:
SOE, 136 edits
Blizzard 41 edits: http://wikiscanner.virgil.gr/name2ip.php?orgname=blizzard&location=
NCsoft Zero edits: http://wikiscanner.virgil.gr/name2ip.php?orgname=NCsoft&location=
CCP 30 edits: http://wikiscanner.virgil.gr/name2ip.php?orgname=Ccp%20Games%20Hq
Mythic 16 edits: http://wikiscanner.virgil.gr/name2ip.php?orgname=Mythic%20Entertainment
Interesting reading, spot the insecure mmo developer.
Awesome summary man - I think this makes a few great points.
SOE - a company that doesn't really have a noteworthy hit (any longer) in the MMO industry makes 136 edits.
Blizzard - a company that has the pinnacle MMO hit to the tune of 10 million players, only making 41 edits. I think its fair to say with their playerbase, one would expect a bit more fooling around with public articles about their company/game. Had they had 136 edits, I'd say all is well, but its clearly not.
I'm not really a Wiki person, but I hope those who are will keep the fight going.

I don't believe it. If this were the end they'd at least still allow us to buy year subscriptions

Jedi is what killed the game - period. Had SOE not made Jedi an option, the game would be more alive than it currently is, but I doubt it would be a "success," especially when compared to WoW.
I know you feel deeply about this but try and express yourself calmly.
Jedi did not kill the game - certainly not for me and my guild. In fact, it was one of the cleverest mechanisms to keep not only myself but I believe many others too involved and enjoying the game.
What killed the game was not the jedi - but people screaming 'Jedi are killing the game' on the forums because they didn't have the time or the inclination to grind or manage a Jedi themselves. People like you perhaps?
Look, its my personal opinion that Jedi ruined the game. Continuity aside, it just ruins the game to have such a large percentage of your playerbase want to be one class. It just doesn't work in MMO land. That is my opinion (and others I'm guessing), which I believe to be fact.
Even though I happily admit to being one of the people who voiced my dissent on the boards about the Holocron path SOE chose, I had never, ever, wanted to have a Jedi for myself. Ever. My fun was in crafting, and being one of the better Armorsmiths on my server. That, I enjoyed. Swinging a lightsaber much like an unhealthy population of most servers did not seem like fun.
Sorry about the multiple posts, just catching up here on an interesting topic.
