I have done exactly that, and then I watch time after time those peeps write on forums about their, and their theory that everyone else, refusal to do PUG's because people don't know how to play their class.

Uhhhh, seriously I said most gamers.  Do you really think most gamers are extroverts?  Get real.

Yup and the gankers will be the first ones to revisit these forums crying about how unfair it is, and how much the game sucks, and how they demand changes to the rule sets.   Fun to watch.

I do not play eq2 so I am not commenting on the graphics issue, it is just when people say stupid things it really grates my nerves.  WoW may not have great graphics, but they work, and the comment about epic fail just goes to show that 10 million subscribers really show epic fail.  Blizzard and the stock holders laugh all the way to the bank on the epic fail statement.

On the flip side, people that game tend to be social isolationists, meaning they find more comfort playing a game rather then doing actual group events.  And pAlease don't give me the argument that they play games and that rules out the social isolationist theory, if that were true, wouldn't they be playing softball, golf, bowling, soccor, or something during good weather.

And based on the tendency towards introversion, these gamers have become gun shy about grouping.  Way too many elitist, self-important, "I RoXXeR" types that go off on any one that makes a mistake.  These same types will turn ballistic if a new player, or hell even an experienced peep does NOT play according to their preconceptions of how that class should be played.  Funny thing is these elitist don't play the class in question, but they "know all" because the have friends, or group frequently with that class.

So the problem with grouping is because many people shy away from being questioned, intimidated, or being yelled at by some 12 year old elitist that really does NOT have a clue.  Most of these people know their classes very well, just refuse to participate in PUG's due to elitist pricks that will run everyone down in order to build their own self esteem.

I saw this was too much in EQ and like a virus it spreads to other games.  Many very nice, mature, and kind people have found their way to LoTRO, almost as an oasis from the problem described above.  But like I say too many are gun shy about grouping, NOT because of concern the others do not know how to play their class, but rather, concern that the elitist prick tank will run into 10 mobs and die because your super duper one shot heal macro key suffered a little lag and could not keep up, and then be called a "noob" idiot when in fact it was tanks fault for over pulling.
