I do understand the publishers that want to advertise their hard work.
When it's the xxx time you see the splash screens and videos I say please let us get rid of that crap!
Instead of making us smile/happy it's annoying us if not worse...
I still remember a game, which I had much fun to play, but after 3 years I could not stand anymore the ads vids not even the music running in the background while loading the game.
I agree we can hit ESC a few time to go faster. So I ask this very question :
Mr Marketing why aren't you letting us to bypass all this once for all? Is it so much to ask? It's not like we don't know who made the game, who published it and who's taking our $$$ each month.
So you have new vids, ads or whaterver, just reset our flag.
For now I'm looking forward my WAR next tome unlock : Waaagh! XXX intro display, you earn the ability to bypass the loading ads & vids.
Am I the only one?

next time read the interview before saying such non-argumented things ;)
I think he did read the interview. Fixing the faults now is not going to win back the hearts of the launch. You think we want a free month? You think we want something for nothing? We already got nothing for something. Again, and I think I speak for everyone that bought AoC and is no longer playing it, We don't care about a free month. We're just not going back to it.
I can 100% confirm that you don't speak for everyone.
I concur, I shall be back and would bring friends also.
But I don't care for a free month, I'd rather them use that $$$ to improve the game.
Originally posted by MMORPDEATHAs long as it is not set during or after the original trilogy, I will be dissapointed. Anything before A New Hope is epic fail.
I know Bioware SW MMO will be based around Kotor timelime as it will give more freeness to the devs.
Also the fans can't bash them for non sticking to the lore as it's 90% new stuff.
I have nothing against this era but I'd rather like the initial trilogy. I'm one of the fan really disappointed by the 3 new videos and I can't stand the way they made Anakin. Watching the movies I wish I could force grab him and throw him out of the window, really.
As older players I can have fun without being THE hero (read Jedi) but I do understand they need to have plenty of them.
For now I'm just, a bit, worried by SOE statement saying Bioware MMO will be more like Diablo than a real MMO. Something like you can play alone and when you want to group with others, connect to servers.

DesignerThe best MMORPG ever would have the fluid tactical combat of City of Heroes, the Elder's Game of (pre-NGE) Star Wars Galaxies, and the continuing story arcs of Asheron's Call 1 (*toots own horn*).
Genre is less important to me. I like lots of things, though I've had enough of all the ninth-generation Tolkein ripoffs, k thx.
Tillamook,
I wanted to say I'm always impressed of how much, interesting, data you're able to digg when it comes to MMO.
Though, I'm not sure what does means Elder's game of (pre-NGE) SWG, even if kind of a vet.
Looks nice, still can I have PANTS for my male character please? Or at least the choice.

I'm with the guy that made the first reply... what the hell does that mean, a SW game delivered on a plate?
I don't even think that makes any sense. Maybe the OP has some mental issues that are causing him to see the future and tell it via inane ramblings.
Please note the OP stated later on that English is not his/her native language. I believe what the OP was trying to express, and I could very well be wrong, is that people that played SWG do not want any SW based MMO, they want a MMO based on SWG. A new MMO based on the aspects that made Pre-NGE SWG beloved by the Vets. As much as I would like that, as a SWG Vet I know it will not happen under any circumstance. Bioware's style of game play is completely different than SWG and many of the sanbox features that were in SWG will not be in Bioware's upcoming MMO. Still, I am looking forward to trying the game and seeing what it has to offer to the fans of Star Wars.
*EDIT* Edited due to not knowing the OP's gender and had assumed the OP was male.
Well Gajari your post made me really laugh but I feel sad for my English skills.
I do my best to improve it, (read books, watch tv, voice chat..) even it's really hard as I tend to think in multiple languages and well it gets messy, really!
Alindale, thank you for your words and try to explain what I was trying to say. ![]()
For the story, when I first heard about SWG, long before launch, I was looking forward a mix of Dark Forces I (not Jedi Knight) with X-Wing. I was really disappointed by SWG combat system. But it let us chat and fight at the same time, so it was great.
I really liked the socialization, full med-centers and cantina's (before messy players cities). For me the hologrind and the CU was a major blow to the game, it killed the social aspect. Players where able to heal themselves and well everybody was out macro-grinding.
I did play NGE for a few months but it was the death blow to SW. It could have been great with a real FPS engine. Sadly SOE, once again, delivered a half finished product.
Pre-CU SWG could have been THE MMO out there. For me it will always be Caveman Galaxies : cave dungeons and Janta owning a full equiped futuristic combatant with stone knives, dude!
Would you rather see a game release pushed back a year or have the game release witha few bugs that will be fixed?
