It would be long overdue, twinking and gear based balance is what ruined this game for me.
WAR is a fun game to play, WoW to a certain extent can be fun, Perfect World has been a fun F2P MMO, atleast to me so far. Some of the other big name P2P MMOs I can't speak for right now because it's been a while since I played them. Vanguard they say is picking up steam, it's a decent game although I don't agree with the direction they decided to go with it.
FFXI is a good game I played for a year and a half. 3hrs sounds about right, it takes a while sometimes to get a party, but I have heard that it's really hard to get a party playing certain classes.

i've noticed something about warhammer when it comes to keeps. they make the game way to easy to defend a keep then it is to attack it. with all the npc's spawning to fast and running away from a fight and wounding up with full hp, i wonder why the devs made the game that way

after all , you are fighting the guards of a keep more then you are fighting the players who are trying to defend it.
back in the old daoc days , if you went to take a keep , the players defending it would have to do their job instead of letting the keep guards do all the work, and if the people got to the keep lord , you would need 20 or 30 people just to kill the guy in order to take the keep.
when on the stairs you cant pull one of the guards to you like you could in daoc, because they would run right back with full hp.
are there any plans on fixing it ? or are people happy with the way it is ?
imo id say make the keep guards similar to daocs, and make the keep lord uber tough to kill.
Historically it is a LOT harder to take a defensive fortified postion then it is to hold one. The adavatange has always been to the defenders. I don't see why this wouldn't hold true in a game like WaR.
well i agree that it should be hard to take a keep then it should be to attack one, but they make it bs hard to even try . its like they are asking you to have a 40 or 50 man group to even do so.
and thats what you dont see in the rvr zones cause everyone is queing up for scenarios all day .
i thought i heard in a podcast that they said something on the line of that if players were there to defend the keep then they would take away the guard in place of the player.
or did i misunderstand the podcast and they were talking about scenarios ?
I am not familiar with that podcast so I can't really speak to that. I'm not sure what rank/tier you are but i am going to assume when your talking about guards you mean the 4 that guard the keep lord? because the non champion ones are cake. If they are giving your WB issues then your WB has some serious problems. The main problem I have seen with failed keep seiges is not getting through the doors or killing the non champion guards. Its when they make it to the keep lord and there isn't much in the way of orginzation. The WB's I have been in tend not to have enough tanks so it's hard to control the champ guards. Someone tanks the hero and everyone goes for the hero not understanding the champs need to go down first. At that point just a few people from the other side can wreak havoc when your trying to seige.
im refering to the teir 2 keeps, it seems liek the pathing for the guards are kinda screwed up . they come to attack and run back to home plate with full hp. and trying to pull them to the side of the tower can be a pain. in daoc if a guard went to attack you it was not going anywhere unless it was killed. in warhammer if it is close to death it runs away and back at full hp. for such a small distance. .
I don't mean this to me a dick, but if you have to worry about the non champ guards (As in those pose enough of a threat that you have to pull them as opposed to just zerging them) then you have either a serious lack of tanks or a serious lack of healers or your doing something SERIOUSLY wrong. I could see them being a problem is you go with a WB that is all lvl 20's but if you have a decent spread of lvl's/healing/tanking the non champ guard should pose zero threat. They are more of a minor annoyance.
The problem that Lorn is refering to isn't just with the regular guards, but with the keep lord and the bodyguards they don't go past the stairwell so if you pull one you can't hold hate because they run back when they hit the stairs and they regain 100% health. That makes it hard to seperate them and deadly for the first one to pull hate.

Considering that every time I've encountered a BW with my Chosen they werent attacking the Sorc. I'd say they are pretty balanced to take down tanks which is mostly what nukers are meant to do on the battlefield. On my SM I've had my ass handed to me plenty of times by a Sorc on the battlefield too. Comparing balance in RvR is difficult considering that the classes were meant to work as a team, if your trying to one on one then yes It will seem unbalanced and your more than likely to be torn apart. Every time I've been fried by a nuker it's because I was focused on some other target ( defending my healers or trying to get to the enemy healers ) not because of balance issues.
