No the G15 keyboard is not exploiting in any way. I've been using it for about 2 years now and I find it great. Personally I don't use any of the macro keys, but essentially what the key does is make a shortcut so instead of having to push alt+v or whatever, you just push g12. I dunno if you can do more than that, but I highly doubt you can do anything that's anywhere close to botting or scripting, like Misfit said.
The other thing I should point out is that quite a large number of games actually SUPPORT the g15 keyboard. WoW, AoC, even Vanguard all have applets for the lcd screen on your keyboard to show you your hp/mana, when you get tells, your battleground rankings, etc.
So don't worry, it's definately a good buy.
