We haven't seen the loot in the beta yet, as itemization won't be ingame before release (release will have about 1500 armor sets of 4-8 pieces each). The beta mostly had placeholders.

The game has tradeposts, with direct sales. There is no auction house (the trade post looks and works like an auction house, but its only direct sales).

Though this is very exciting to me as I really look forward to spellweaving and dx10, I remember that the .tre files in the original SWG download contained many things that never made it into the game ie: planets, creatures, armor sets, npcs etc. Not trying to be a downer, but just saying that this is not a definite indication that these features will make it for launch.
On a positive note, FC always said dx10 and spellweaving would be in at launch, running on the newer Cheetah 2 engine.
