    I am not sure about the EU servers as i am an American. but i do know about classes and a Guard/Mins is a insane combo.

    as far as Pve goes Ive seen that combo take down alot of crazy shit.

    However!; dont get me wrong Burg/Capin is also another great one as i was lvling alonng time ago on my main (burg) my best friend was a captain. When finally got to 50 , since we had so much experience playing together, we could take down allot of stuff too. but for long term fight the captain couldnt keep me alive and/or my conjunctions were on cooldown. Now a minstrel / guard would win cause minstrels can pretty much heal for a good long time assuming they have a few Blue pots and going blue/greens on Cj's.

    Guardian and Minstrel is an Easy mode that requires almost 0 skills in a process. Considering that gameplay 1-50 is already easy enough in LOTRO, they'll just end up getting bored pretty fast, and will eventually reroll.
    Also Minstrel's, i simply dislike this class, its just when ever that character pulls out his Lute to do anything its makes it look soo unrealistic. Bleh..
    And Guardians are very slow on damage, a Champion could do such a better job in his place. Also if it was me, i'd prefure burglar. With there high parry/evade %, stuns, ability to create Fellowship Manuevers, range of Debuffs and Crowd Control - make this a really fun class to play with.
    Now that i think about, a Burglar/Lore-Master would make it even a better combination. Lore-masters/mistress is just as fun to play as it is a burglar, and have like the highest need for in Fellowships/raids.

    Look big guy, yea the minstrel might look a little weird wipping out his guitar to heal up some heroes but it sure as heel is nice to see my health bar nice and healthy.

    secondly, there might be alot of easy stuff to do in lotro, but there is also alot of hard shit to do.

    And no other 2 classes will be able to duo the hard stuff. yea the guard may be slow on DPS, but with a minstrel healing his back, he is invincible against any ordianry mob that other classes would have atuff time with.

    those bosses in the delving, yea me and a captain tried for hours to take down the one at the beggining. heh then a minstrel guard team walks in and powns him.

    
    To the OP,

    Do what you wish, but IMO the guard/minstrel is the best way to go, for a new couple.

    My guess for a nice combo would be a Guardian/Minstrel. Lots of couples run with those 2. But its all up to you.

  • Well when moria comes out the next tier for crafting is going to be moved up. I imagine the tier 5 SU recipes will then be like 55% instead of 35% (maxed out).

    
    See, doing something like this sucks for all those people who spent time and money into making them Etched beryl rings and folks who spend hours grinding for mats, then finding out you gotta do it all over again to get tier 6 shit.

    I hope turbine puts like 100% succes gems in moria for tier 6 crafted crits. gems or something like that to garuntee a crit would be nice.
