"Everything I say is a lie"
So far this is the only true paradox that anybody has posted.
A paradox is, by definition, something that makes itself untrue, or as dictionary.com puts it, something that is self contradictory...When somebody says "I always lie" it is a paradox because even if it is true that the person in question "always lies" up until that point, they would be telling the truth by saying that they "always lie" and therefore do NOT always lie.
Most people usually use the word paradox to mean something that sounds like it could be conflicting, these usually aren't paradoxical, but rather ironic...Newer definitions of the word paradox allow for much more lenient use of the word though, and that annoys me...We're losing a poetic device by dumbing it down for the masses.
By the way...The "I always lie" thing is my favorite paradox as well...mostly because it was the one used in the Sith trials in the original KOTOR game.
pps. I am less than two semesters away from having a degree in English...I know what I'm talking about ![]()
There are different types of paradox for example Self-referential, logical and mathematical etc.
You clearly DON'T know what you are talking about and should consult a textbook.

That is not a paradox, but a description of why there is a page without content.
It most certainly is a paradox. It is stating that the page is intentionally left blank, but the statement being there makes the page infact not blank.
Another one that really makes me think is:
"A man travels back in time to discover the cause of a famous fire. While in the building where the fire started, he accidentally knocks over a kerosene lantern and causes a fire, the same fire that would inspire him, years later, to travel back in time."
"This page is intentionally left blank"

Hey MMORPG,
I'm only 17 and i work Part time at Walmart. I switched a shift of mine (i work in foods) with a girl who works in another department. My manager told me i can't do that because "girls cant lift" (you generally need to stock milk/eggs)
I thought of this as sexist and innapropriate.
What does MMORPG think? and should i do anything about it?
In your opinion, can the girl in question lift?
IMO she IS capable of lifting the milk crates (they arent THAT heavy, maybe 20lbs each)

I'm not too sure about this one. But if a requirement of a job is to be able to do heavy lifting, and said person can't lift anything heavy then no, I don't think it's sexist or inappropriate.
And when you say "Should I do anything about it?"... what would you do?
Well maybe i meant more "Say" then "do".
What is your favourite Soldier archetype class in Age of Conan?
