Does anyone know what version the Open Beta runs?
If it's the most updated one or if it's just something they use for Open Beta?
Anyone who played the old Closed Beta should have more of a sence on that question because they have seen the most changes.
The elder beta, is a patch or so ahead. So, no it is not the latest.
Its ALMOST the latest. Elder is on 4.2 BUT.... 4.2's notes were VERY similar to 4.1.1 open beta notes. So the two servers are VERY close to alligning

The game is quite polished as it is.
But I am sure we will see some big changes:
High quality textures
GUI fixes
Improved animations for number of classes
More graphic customisability
...
Many things.
Even LOTRO that was probably the most polished MMO in beta. Got big update for release.
Unfortunately, you are setting yourself up for a HUGE let down. And if I were a wager placing man, which I am, I'd place money on you returning after launch slamming the game for not delivering what you were promised.
Ok, seriously, I dont know you and you might very well be happy, even if they dont deliver those items. But there are many out there with the expectation you have and the assness to come flame once those expectations are not delivered upon.
Set yourself up for reality, then if your items above DO come with release, then you'll be overly excited and happy. Plan though that you are seeing the best graphics this game can deliver. That the GUI is what it is. That the animations are complete and already in game.
Much better to be pleasantly surprised, than to be gravely disappointed.
A couple questions...
First, has it been said how much time they plan to give those people waiting on shipments? Seems common place lately for a week. Just wondering if its been said anywhere yet.
More importantly though. Lets say you ordered a CE, got the codes, put them in and begin play on the 14th. On the 18th, you go to the store to find that they mistakenly over sold the CE and you now can not get one. What would happen if you put a regular retail code into a CE head start account?
Thoughts?
This game runs like crap! (says the person with a 5 year old comp)
This game crashes ALL the time! (says same person)
The game brings NOTHING new to the genre (says the person who played for 10 minutes)
This game is to simple, no complexity! (says same person)
This game's PvE SUX! (says the person who isnt giving it a fair look)
