Hey Guys,
I am a liitle out of the loop here, but are the 10 million subs spuked by WOW actual ongoing subs or are they a count of the number of accounts created, I ask this as my first exposure to WOW was through a AUD$2 CD that gave me 14 days of play, lets just say I bought atleast 3 or 4 of these and setup different accounts.
But back to the WOW killer thought., WOW will be just like Counter Strike, better visual games and better game play mmo's will come out, but everybody will stick with what they know, and games like AOC we always be comared to them with the nastalgia of the good old days... without the memories of the bad.....
They don't count trial accounts or accounts that have been inactive for more than 2 weeks, or a month, can't remember which. But they make sure it's actual paying and active subs.

Funcom = Busted and today Funcom ups the ante and confirms that everyone who pre-orders may access Hyboria several days prior to the retail launch.* * The early access program is only available with certain retailers. A participant list can be found on the official Age of Conan websites. The early access is entirely voluntary, and opens up on the 17th of May for Oceanic and North American gamers, and on the 20th of May for European gamers. Pre-loading of the client will commence in advance. You need to pay a nominal 5 USD / EUR fee to take advantage of the offer, which includes client download and 10 days of subscription. When the early access offer expires you must enter the physical retail box gamekey to continue playing. Don't see chance, limited etc etc in that statement.. Creative marketing, lies and failed comitments.
For a guy that's not gonna play this lame game u spend to much time researching Funcom's sites don't u think?
Duh, if he didn't then he'd be written off as an uneducated troll.

are you kidding me, the acolytes have been promoting this game since who knows how long. conan is a gimmick and nothing more, keep your boobies, i'll keep my gameplay.
Pretty true unfortunately. When I think of Acolytes I think of Avery of course, ProfRed, and now you D3mis3. All of you say great things about it, which doesn't mean you're wrong, but it's not surprising when an Acolyte thinks this is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

It is well known that anyone that knows what an MMO is, wants to at least try this game. I have heard staggering numbers, 1 million signed up for beta, 100,000 allowed into pre-launch. The headstart was cut off buy all four companies in the US on the 15th, for sure. There is no doubt that this is the cutting edge today. Which in itself may be sad, but none the less, this is the best the world has to offer to us gamers that have been craving more.
There is no doubt there are going to be problems to this game for weeks to come. Not client issues or card issues, which funcom so willing claims to be the heart of their problems. Just the numbers alone dictate that we will all have problems loging in and killing with no lag. If the numbers are true, then they not only have to make sure on the 17th that the game is stable for 100,000 to players, but on the 20th that the servers are capable of handeling another 900,000 players.
This will be the biggest launch to date. It holds nothing on SWG and WoW. We will see an unstable client for weeks to come purely based upon server stability issues. It will take time for all of us to get in, but given the fact that they will make 50 million dollars on the first day of launch, they will address the isues and give us a PvP game that is stable and worth playing, so much as they can.
Hey another doom and gloom post by a 5 poster.
I especially like how you slightly slanted it to make it look like you were looking forward to the game, possibly even a fan, yet are assuring us there will be multiple problems. Especially with the title. Nice job. You guys are getting slightly clever now.
Based on your reasoning, would you believe me if I agreed since I have 5 stars and 600 posts? Lol.

"loser has to delete there forums account here and agree to never post again."
Ok, again, please learn to type properly. Now who's account are you referring to deleting? If's mine sir...wow. Sorry for me for being a little giddy about the (confirmed) biggest launch (hype/sales) in MMO history and the fact you probably still play (or just quit) WoW.
Instead of looking like you have a stick up your butt so that you complain about his English (come on, this is the Internet), you should ask him to explain why he said what he did.
Ask him to explain why he said what he did? Are you serious? You seem like a smart person, but that was a stupid statement. It's obvious why he said what he did. He wants to get a rise out of people. Nothing more behind it than that. Well he got what he wanted. If he's going to make inflamitory remarks, then he should at least have the intelligence to form a halfway cognet sentence.
True, that particular comment did seem like a troll post for the sake of trolling, but maybe if he explained why he thinks so, he may show some brains. Which would make up for the poor sentence structure...honestly, do we all type 100% correctly all the time? Especially on the Web ![]()
Are you still playing (or subscribed to) your first MMO?
