It's gamers fault. 10 millions peoples bought WOW, can we assume the market for this type of game is healthy ? No wonders all the others mmo's are WOW clones, devs are not stupid, they don't want to make a game with innovative stuff that only a minority will appreciate.

I'll say it again, it was a very bad marketing decision. If you want to allow X amount of peoples in the game for early access then DO NOT produce and sell twice the amount of boxes.

Q1 2007 : 14.1 Million Profit
Q4 2007 : 10.2 Million Profit
Q1 2008 : 8.1 Million Profit.

That's very bad marketing. If you want to allow peoples to get an early access then dont over produce early access package, just release a set amount and honor those who got the chance to buy it. My brother bought the pack and was planning to play during the weekend, guess what happened ?
