Returned to GW2 just before X-mas. Wintersday living world achievement takes a while to finish. Went to hunt for gifts (Toy Quality Control) and stumbled upon that waterfall.

Cheers.

One thing about GW2: It's a beautiful game. I loved my norn going on hunts upon the shiverpeaks.

Nice picture.

Much to my surprise (I'd dismissed this game entirely, due to being sick of the hype it was getting prior to launch), I'm loving the hell out of this game. Never have I played a MMO where it was so easy to get sidetracked... and just as rewarding.

I set out just earlier tonight to do the next part of my story mission. A small side path caught my attention and I went to "give a quick look".

Almost 2 hours later, after finding myself traveling through an underground river/tunnel, into a buried tower which featured a rather tricky jumping puzzle, emerging to reach a Vista I'd seen earlier from below. I participated in a 'heart' quest, and an event happening in the same area. I then went on to find yet another tunnel where some fallen boulders could be destroyed, revealing a rather nasty surprise in the form of a room full of trolls, 2 of which ambushed me from behind. I barely made it out alive.

Emerging from the tunnel, I looked at the clock, noticed how late it had gotten, that I had never actually gotten to continue my story mission, and that I'd have to do so tomorrow.

In all my time playing MMOs, and in all those I've played, I have never experienced a game world that begs to be explored, nor rewards exploration as much as Tyria does.

I'm having a blast.

A friend started playing recently. And I have to tell you, level scaling makes running with a newbie a fun experience. :)

Btw. I'm still not done with Wintersday living world achievement! >_<

Cheers and happy New Year!

That's my Lvl 80 Elementalist, support build. She's wearing unskinned exotic light armor (+healing power, +precision, +vitality) that I crafted. Staff is skinned with achievement point reward skin.

I like this build the most from the ones I've tried in PvE. Good survivability with epic support, a must in any party-play. Even in solo-play, you can survive for a long time versus multiple mobs.

For PvP I use my Asura Thief. For some reason I'm better with it than Ele. :/

Cheers.
