No more vanguard screenshots. You're killing us here. It's like being teased for a new game, but instead it's one that's already there, but has been slowly choked to death.

Tue Jan 04 2011 1:02AM ReportVanguard needs a re-release
Tue Jan 04 2011 3:41AM ReportWhat it needs is new management, what keeps a lot of people playing this game is that they know that SOE runs it, and that SOE is going to do nothing with it.
Tue Jan 04 2011 12:42PM ReportI wish someone would buy it from SOE or SOE would officially announce that they truely don't give a damn about VG so its not just a common belief.

SOE doesn't have to announce it. They VG producer has already said it numerous times on their forums.
All capable devs have been removed and been replaced by 1-2 interim students. And that was already over a year ago.
I think it's pretty obvious that development has ceased long ago.
They just keep it running for the fans that still willing to pay their monthly sub and play it. That's it.
It will go the same way of MxO. When the population gets too low and operational costs become higher than the sub fee income. VG will be shut down.
Wed Jan 05 2011 1:34AM ReportAll the more reason to play it while you can. Not for a rush to end-game, but for the journey. If there was ever a MMO about the journey, it's Vanguard.
Vanguard is an explorers DREAM. There are amazing things to be seen around just about every corner in every part of the world.
It's very sad, as we all know, how VG has ended up. But if you want to experience what it has to offer (which is a lot), then you should play it now. Don't think of it as a waste just because it *might* be shut-down someday.
I just regret not playing more AC2 when I could have been. All the sudden I find out it was shut down. For me, personally, that was an amazing game. I'll never forgive myself for not keeping up with things and missing my chance to enter that world once more.
Just sayin'
