Swords are usually 2 strike weapons, thus they do far more auto attack damage. It makes up for the lack of crit rating, and as a bonus they also have a far higher parry rating. Basically a solo sin grinding out lvls would at a minimum want a sword in their main hand if not DW swords period.

I have the sword, because it's a blue (super rare) weapon from a quest and it's better than the current daggers and matches my blue dagger thats in my other hand. I'm usually dagger n dagger, but i'm not going to pass up a free (GOOD) weapon till I get more cash. It's pretty strong too and I added 11+ crit on it to match it pretty good.
