it obviously is one of the buy in the store types.

But for the most part, ships cost maybe (At max level) 15-20 bucks, and the ship is avalible to all toons of that faction u make. Lower level (mid level, etc) ships would cost 5or less, and every ship(At least every one I know of) that you buy in the C-STore, comes with a special weapon, or console, that you can equip on other ships(Example might be the quad cannons u get when u buy the defiant, or 'grapler' u get when u buy the enterprise era ship)

In the end, besides the 'recent' update, STO was pretty damn good value. Now with fleet ships, not so much, but you can get by with ingame money :P

I remember when I played STO how much people kept begging for the Ambassador Class Enterprise-C to be added to the game.

Im sure Perfect World will make alot of money adding that to their store.

Actually they never added it to the C-store. They made the tier 5 version a fleet ship only, which requires you to be in a fleet with at least tier 3 shipyard and have fleet permissions to buy fleet ships.

The fleet version isn't even the Ambassador class. It's the Yamaguchi class, which is a varriant and looks slightly different.

Fleet ships are single character only, which means you need to purchase it for each character you want it for. It costs 4 fleet ship modules which cost a total of 2,000 Zen, equivalent to $20 USD, per character. If you discharge a fleet ship you have to repurchase it to replace it.

I think originally on the forums Cryptic said there was going to be a C-store version but for some reason they decided not and make it a fleet ship.
