Actually I picked Wood Elf cuz I wanted an archer, but I didn't realize how quickly your skills level in this game and that they cap at 100 (which doesn't take racial bonuses into account). Now I sorta wish I went with some other race, but on the plus side...most of Skyrim is mean to elves, so that he runs around killing everyone sort of makes sense!
