oh damn, i just figured out why EQ2 reminds me of EQ1 even with newer graphics.. it's the world and objects, it is almost the exact same 'bare plains' style, with too much flat ground without a plant or tree or object to make it seem filled, thats why i see all these EQ2 pics and think 'that looks as bad as eq1' lol even with the good graphics and shiney textures, it makes sense now lol, if it had lots of stuff inbetween the 10-20yrd inside bare emptiness and stuff inbetween the 100yrd outside bare emptiness, im sure this game would've been much much better, or atleast attracted/kept more players? either way, i like the ethereal horse

Each to his own i guess. I rather like the environments in EQ-2. I am not in to too much cluttered placement of objects. Running around in Faydark and Kelethin city not even once i felt the 'bare plains' style you are referring to.

And don't forget that this game is 4 years old, in that regard its still damn impressive. The detail on characters and in environments is amazing.

this game is broken you can have max settings in small areas but not in big areas like the jungle or youl glitch till you crash and its not the comps problem but the bad engine the game uses

I am playing with max settings in the bigger areas too and i have not crashed even once. I will post some screenshots from bigger areas, to prove it to you.

Sorry but Ive a hard time believeing you. I tried this game with a i7@4ghz and a 4870x2 oc card and couldnt max everthing out without getting alot of fps drops. And no- Ivent installed any of my hardware wrong becuse I dont have any problems with more modern games (that I can max)

Well i am sorry if i don't crash or lag. I have many videos of my play time in EQ2, i would be happy to send them to you if you like. I play at max settings.

I find it rather odd that you can play this game on max settings without any problems. Are you sure that you have everything at their maxium settings? Becuse what Ive read its impossible to use the CPU shadows at its highest setting  with good fps.  Below is a link that show that its not only me that has the problem. http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=444036
