The sky is a bitmap image, it does move but its still a static image, its not like the clouds in vanguard or even WoW where they are dynamic. The trees in the background are sprites, its the only way to keep a decent frame rate, close up to far away trees are hi-poly > med-poly>low-poly > sprite.

I guess you can tell I dont see what all the fuss is about LOTRO graphics, they are genric, bland and washed out to me.  But we all have an opinion.
