Hiden belts in 0.0 are pretty safe, you can only be found by a prober so even if hostiles show up you have time to warp to a POS. I usually have my rorqual to tank the rats if i have a cyno gen on jump range, just put the hulk on the ship bay and jump out, log off the miner's pod :P
