I just want to say that I joined last weekend when I saw the free trial post, and I am having a blast!  The game is fun in every aspect of character building, the only drawback being that after you have built your character for a while, the fun of the game is directly influenced by the number of people online.  Lot of stuff to do, but always better with someone else to travel with.

I'm hoping folks will read this post and decide to give the game a shot...it's a 9 year almost 10 year old battle/skill system, and it's still one of the best I've seen...players have SO much power and control over the game, never will you find a PvP based online game where you can cast spells that could very well steal a rare item players have won in a NDS (Near Death Studios) run tournament or possibly shatter and destroy that weapon for ever!  It adds a lot of suspense to gameplay and a great balance to the economy.

As I said, the more people that play, the more rare items players will find, making for some great fun in PvP or character building.

I wanted to post this message because I saw no other way to post links to great information websites, and the links section of Meridian 59: Ressurection had only the link to their official webpage.  For curious readers who want to learn more about the skills and spells and gameplay (and like I said, there are SOOO many unique spells to this game that you will never find in WoW, EQ1&2, AC1&2 or any of the other highly rated MMORPGs) I strongly suggest checking out

http://www.gilcon.net/meridian

for all the advice you could need to get started and a pretty decent forum community.  But please give this game a shot if old-school graphics aren't a major turnoff because it has SO MUCH more to offer if you give it a shot.

Thanks a bunch, and come see me sometime as I'm on the free trial server often as Xanthis and the pay to play server 102 and Silmaris Dragonbane.  I'll be sure to help you out!
