Guild Wars 2 : Things the Nightmare Did Right

Now that The Nightmare Ends story arc is drawing to a close, we want to take a look back at the things that went right in the Guild Wars 2 adventure that ran for the past four months. See what we think and then leave your own thoughts in the comments.

The introduction to the Nightmare storyline sends players into an instance, that helps tell the story, not only through character interactions, but through discovery in game play. The first time I saw the hallucinations was a very exciting moment! It used cool visuals, and strange audio to make it seem like my character was going mad! ArenaNet could have just made another boring NPC that told us what the spores do, but instead we got to discover, and witness it for ourselves. That instantly got me hooked into the story.

While some of the effects were neat looking, the motionless in game models felt lifeless. They looked out of place.
