Flying Lab Software recently announced some major changes to the game that are very exciting. Some of these new improvements include an expanded world, a sailing map, instanced zones, a mission system and more! Below is a snippet from their accouncement:

For the last few months, we've been on a voyage of our own. Recently, we took a look at how Pirates of the Burning Sea was shaping up and then reviewed the list of features suggested by our staff and by our fans on the official site forum. Many of these features were great ideas, concepts that we had discussed at length both privately and in public, but they hadn?t made the cut for the initial release.
So we did some hardcore brainstorming. We knew our real-time tactical naval combat and responsive sailing model rocked, but everything else was on the table. Our goal was to answer one simple question: knowing what we know now, what kind of age-of-sail adventure game would we make?
