Darkfall : Character Transfers Now Available

Posted Nov 05, 2009 by Michael Bitton

Character transfers for players seeking to move from the EU1 server to the NA1 server are now being offered, free of charge, until December 6th, 2009. Your character will not retain his loot or other belongings during the transfer, but he will still keep his skills, spells, quests, alignment and titles.

In addition, Aventurine is offering a 30% discount for six month subscription packages during this free character transfer period, with both EU1 and NA1 subscriptions eligible for the offer.

For more details on the Character transfer service, go here.

Pretty sad they lack the ability to transfer a character's items over. Then again the game is pretty sad overall.

Great job genius

Fact is they wanted to balance the abilities and items that each character had. Since EU started 6 months in advance they could just bring dozens of ships, money, items and construction materials and totally wipe out the NA1 guilds, and the economy.

But you didnt think of that - did you now? ;)

After the way the forums have been the last couple days, these kinds of posts are just becoming more and more embarrassing for the poster.

The next few weeks are going to be interesting to say the least. I sense my young Mahirim character will be jumped much more than usual. Should be fun.

Aventurine really needs to think ahead more.  They should have known about this free character transfers when NA-1 was launched.  If this information was provided when the NA server came out, it would have prevented some nerd rage, including mine, and may have kept some of their customers.  Of course, if they did not know the details of the character transfers, they should have stated just that.  "We are still working out the details and will provide more information as soon as we know ourselves."  How is that bad for business?  Keeping their customers in the dark affects these mmo's more negatively than doing them any good.

Free character transfers were announced in it's moment, when Na-1 was released.
