League of Legends : Now Live! Launch Party Begins!

Riot Games' MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena), League of Legends, is now live! The game is available entirely free of charge, though players may opt for a Collector's Edition featuring a number of bonuses, such as upfront access to 20 of game's Champions, an assortment of exclusive skins, and some unique Summoner Runes. The Collector's Edition is available at retail for $29.99.

The developers have also unlocked all Champions as part of a "Launch Party" event, which will end in a few weeks coinciding with the game's in-game store opening. Once the store is live, players will then be able to use their accumulated Influence Points (or cash-purchased Riot Points) to permanently unlock their favorite Champions. Details on the event, as well as a mini-FAQ are also available.
