hell ya GTA mmo style

  This will be a odd game to play because technically RPERs and normal people can be themselves LOL. Real style world with crime and cops. Going to be a blast!

Interesting... looks like sandbox crash and smash action. Bad for the "I want to live in a fantasy world" players, but it's also more believable since this kind of crap (speeding, shooting, blowing stuff up) obviously isn't the norm in the real world... but it's still possible. In this MMO, looks like it won't just be possible, it'll be constant. In short, it looks like fun.

Judging from the video, FPS was actually pretty good for that level of graphics, but performance might be the biggest issue in my opinion. Though there aren't million-pixel spell animations, either, which should help... just explosions and gunfire.

Games like these draws to many hackers..Its to bad to..I did like fps until the hackers flooded the Fps games..APB will be just another hacker paradise..

I wish they would announce if there is going to be a benefit to preorders. If not, I will preorder my 5 copies now but if so, I am going to wait until they make a preorder special. This game is going to roflstomp the rest of Action MMOs and I have a feeling it will be the nail in Face of Mankind's second coffin.

That actually looks pretty awesome. GTA was never my thing really, even though I believe the games themselves were very well done. I've played them a bit, and watched my brother and my roommate play them for many, many hours. APB looks like basically GTA in MMOG format, which should be basically a dream come true for GTA fans. Hell, if it turns out that the gameplay is cool and all the key MMORPG aspects are there and done well I might actually give the game a shot. I am sure fans of the genre will love it... and yes, the end is freaking hilarious.

i hope that 100 players per city will be 1000 at release and later no limit :D

If those are in-game graphics... don't count on it. It's not like EVE where there's few models to render in any given area. There's trees, roads, buildings, cars, characters, etc... and, given the high level of customization for just about everything in this game, that's even more textures to load, and that puts a strain on FPS. 100 is really a gift.

As long as this game has solid gameplay and a cover system similar to GTA IV it's going to be absolutely amazing.

I think I'll be getting it regardless though. >.<

People with just mediocre grade gaming computers would even lag like all hell to that. I have a pretty awesome gaming computer and a brand new, state of the art gaming laptop (that ceased to be state of the art the moment I bought it) that would even struggle with more than 100 people in a map that large with the need to process all that cool stuff.

Why does the 100 limit bother people so much? Are you ever gonna be around all 100 at once, let alone 1000? And if you were the lag would be astronomical. Look at Warhammer's lagfest of PvP. I think 100, while not conforming to the letter of "massively", is certainly an adequate number for an enjoyable experience. Instead of holding on to some theoretical idea of what a "true" MMOG is, look at it from a practical gameplay angle.

I think this game has huge potential, looks awesome, and offers something fresh in an MMO. Looking forward to it.

This game can't get here soon enough.

I really hope they tone down the squirrely car mechanics and over -the-top ragdoll physics.

Look sick !  But i've seen great videos before that turned to be nothing but fake.  Will have to wait and see if gameplay is actually like that.

At least it looks pretty fresh compared to most new mmos recently...

Ever play 8 Player Free Roam in GTA4? It's an absolute madhouse when everyone gets together. So believe me if you were to witness a 25vs25 fight(you figure if you managed to get 100 people in one spot, the universe would implode)   you would be in one Hell of a huge warzone with bodies flying all over, explosions everywhere and a maelstrom of bullets going every which way.

Trust me if this game even slightly taps into the possible chaos that GTA-like multiplayer action can produce, you will not be remotely bored :)

I heard you can take the money you stole, extorted, whatever and find a gambling hall to play with it.   Othere than 21, craps, the usual house games. they were having poker rooms modeled after the online poker rooms now only with the gangster shoot people at your table theme.   Sounds cool as long as all is fair in the cards and they pay when ya win.  I am so waitin for this game.

That video actually changed my mind on the game.  I thought it was going to be extremely stupid from earlier videos I had seen but that just looks down right awesome.  I can't wait to try this thing out.

I was not expecting much from this game except maybe a mmo that was NOT fantasy,but after seeing this video Im going to be keeping a closer eye on it. Looks like a lot of fun mayhem. I could only imagine if there was a full pop in one city,in just one area..brutal.

I had kinda pushed this MMO to the side. But after the vid wow. I hope it plays like that. I'll have to keep watch on this one.

 I can see myself flipping over the car far too many times and getting yelled at by my gang or brother for that matter!

Most exciting trailer of 2008-2009 for me.

This game wasn't even in my "to play" list. But after watching the video I changed my mind also. Looks good.

The only thing I am scaried is the pubisher...........we all know how "good" EA is for pushing incomplete games out to the market and how they cancel games when they no longer make any money.

Pretty much everyone I know / I've shown this to has said they're getting it as soon as they can.  Hope it's gonna be awesome - It'll be nice to switch things up from your standard MMO's.
