Hello Kitty : Taking Sign Ups For Closed Beta

The North American version of Hello Kitty Online is taking sign-ups for open beta. For those who are interested in participating in the closed beta test for the "cutest MMORPG" ever made, Aeria Games is now taking sign ups.
Me? I'm in as long as the game has full loot.

Oh, and, just in case you forgot how cute Hello Kitty Online is, they've also released a new trailer to go with today's announcement.

I was originally going to chew you out for this since I was going to try the game for fun as a joke. Then I saw the included trailer. I'm not going to let this game touch my hard drive. Chick with the bear hat at 0:22 in the video ruined the idea of this game for me. Actually all the trailer in general was just horrible. If I catch a guy playing this I'm probably never gonna talk to him (her?) again.
My girlfriend is a Hello Kitty Online "founder" and has excitedly registered for the closed beta. >.>

I signed up and will test/play just about anything under the sun. You never know what kinda of mechanics they may bring to the MMO table. Might be a few that some of the big dawgs could benefit from. Either way I would never shy away from saying I'd play any MMO, period.

You know, if HKO turns out to be a lot of fun, I'll feel sorry for you. Might be a good time to work on removing your masculine identity from what video game you play. It'll help with that whole "growing up" process.

I think there's a climate difference in the asian market and the western market. This game obviously exemplifies that difference.

I don't give a damn whether I'm considered a real man or not. Life is too short for such pointless arguments. If something puts a smile on my lips and I'm having fun, I'll play it. I don't think Hello Kitty Online is going to have what it takes to keep me playing for long, but it's certainly such a far out thing that my curiosity beckons me to try. You know, just so that I can add another been there, done that T-shirt to my collection and actually know a bit about what I'm talking about if I ever have to post a forum comment regarding HKO.

I echo that, and while I'm not a man (and a fan of the game! played previous beta's) I can safely say that the Game has had a lot of guys play and enjoy it!

You know when we was kids we also would love to go to chucky cheese and jump around, play in the ball pits and crawl thru the tunnels for "fun" too... But I HAVE GROWN UP, And dont do these child like things anymore.

You know when you were a kid it was a kid..When you are a Adult you are still a kid at heart..The World proved that many times over..But once you come out of the Adult diapers you will understand to know what it means to be a kid at heart.But i find it funny, you still play Cartoons Graphic Games..

I haven't read too much into HKO recently but last I checked this game had a lot more MMORPG elements that us older MMORPG players enjoy when compared to other games. I wont be playing it because I don't like the isometric view. As somebody else pointed out we play games for fun.

Being a female, I force my boyfriend to play just about every stupid, kiddie, girly style MMORPGs out there that I myself like, being few; because most of them have shitty graphics. It has to be mainly anime style to grab my attention for a long period of time; but! If you're a male, you have a gf, she wants you to play it, good excuse. :)
I can see this title being a good game for thoughs who like the IP of Hello Kitty. Though I can see that Aeria Games has its dirty money grubbing mitts on it. So I feel sorry for those who expected the product to be ran at a decent level. Yay for servers filled with lag! Its not like Aeria should have to pay for better bandwidth.. they make money anyways.
Not to mention that the graphics are usually the most hideous things I have ever seen in my life. >_> HKO doesn't look too bad though. I'll give it a shot if I make it into the Beta, which I signed up last night; probably will. :)
