Nothing in there looks like ancient China except for some of the building architecture. The armor and weapons look silly. That'd be ok for anime sci-fi or a generic high fantasy world but this game is supposed to be based on a historical novel set in the 3 Kingdoms period of ancient China. Or am I confusing this with another game, like Warlords?
I know stuff should be simplified in an mmo, like being low on poly count in landscape models, but those cherry trees are kinda pushing the limit. I hope for their sake that they will still improve stuff like that.
the graphics weren't horrible when i tried this game a couple weeks ago - but the inability to use a left handed mouse did me in
at least i don't think i could - couldn't find settings in the usual places in game and nothing on the forum - when i asked about it in game i was told to check some user made guide (which was the answer to every other noob that was asking questions - apparently you are not suppose to ask questions "in-game") that had nothing in it of use - tried asking in game again but - well, you know the answer to that already

Look at other crap Chinese games based on "historical China".
Silk Road, for one. Anyone really think strawmen were attacking everyone? And do you really think women wore g-string armor and fought?
Take a look at every single "historical China" game made and you will see magic, monsters, twenty religions rolled into one mess, and basically just the same crap as the dozen "historical China" mmos made before it.
What worries me is that this is how the Chinese really view their history.
I played this game for about 2 weeks and i have to say very very sad gameplay and community. At 1st i looked at it and said "Hey a game based in china! looks fun!" i was sadley mistaken. Game play was sad. seemed like there lack of minds creating a game. armor was corney, skills and there anamation were very poor, and quests were so dull, there is so much more but iam not geting into that. Lets just say instead of your wife or girlfriend throwing you into the dog house, they should just force you to play this game for 4 hours strait. It will make you wish for the dog house.
Yay another F2P Ancient China-based game for us to waste bandwidth with! Seriously, EVERY F2P game looks the same. Shit textures, shit gameplay, shit animations, GRIND and imbalanced cash shop. Yawn.
I'm so sick of free MMOs I just gave up on them. Back in the day they were good... now they're the same shit but seems like year after year they get worse. All these MMOs coming out (free ones) are way outdated and should've been launched back in '01. 12Sky2, Pristontale2, Runes of Magic, all rubbish.
Now if they were talking about like Romance of the three kingdoms..That would be historical..But i fail to see any game that is really worth playing online that are from China..Now if they made online game like Romance of the three kingdom..I would be playing for a awful long time..:P

That is a good point. I've seen many illustrations of ancient Chinese soldiers who have very cool looking armor and weapons. There is no need to stray very far from history as far as equipment and clothing go. What they actually wore looks very colorful and romantic. Why then do asian developers dress their avatars like rejects from an episode of Power Rangers?
Other games of this type also include modern clothing you can buy in the cash shop, such as jeans, bikini's, and business suits. I stopped playing one game when my traditional-themed avatar started encountering other players in leather trenchcoats, motorcycle boots, and cocktail dresses. China and Korea have deeply impressive historical traditions. I wish their game developers would honor their own cultural history as it deserves.
well it seems Koei (the best historical gaming company around) has not entered the F2P industry yet. so until then, we will get these half decent representations.. But I do think that 3 Kingdoms is as close as they have come in terms of "historical"..

What is this? World of Stretched Textures?

This one at leasts has yellow turbans.. lol..
Somewhat accurate I guess... I havent really seen any "flashy" specials either..
