Earthrise : Exclusive Screens Week 3

Earthrise devs have sent over another batch of three exclusive screenshots for your viewing pleasure today. This time, the screens feature a player standing in a huge canyon, an upward look at a structure on a peak and a guy checking out a contraption of sorts.

Keep 'em coming, it's lookin pretty good so far
This game has my full attention.
The armor detail and structures seem WAY more detailed and better then the environment. Don't know if that is a good thing of a bad thing.. Either then that it should be really fun exploring the island and the island it's self looks fairly large!
Those are some ugly environment textures...other then that looks great!

Would like to see a new combat vid for earthrise as i see the f numbers in the bottom right and some ? marks in the top left that have me a little worried it may end up the same button mash as all the others
These shots are from the closed beta. No idea on open beta though.
Yeah, I'm really wanting to see a good video. Show me how combat and crafting work. Show me the environment and UI functionality, please!

wowwww, this is most likely friends and family beta still. no word on CB testing for the public yet. textures look fine btw, im sure they'll be improved just like the player chars. definitely wanting this OB more than FFXIV
They use some really low quality textures.
Global graphics level is just "average", but gameplay matters too.
That's why, i think we have enough screens ... now we (i) need some gameplay videos!
Is this thing still in development? I thought it would have been out by now as they started the same time as Fallen Earth and I haven't seen any combat videos for it for ages.
Wrong, masthead represenitives have stated that community testers are in beta.
oh look its Mr.bubblepack guy, and hes facing a difrent directon in this batch of screenshots. Oh My i really must look into buying this wonderful game.
i doubt it, they just said it to keep everyone calm, i take everything they say with grain of salt. IF they did get anyone into CB, its probably MOLL and a couple other guys.
Combat Video:
There is no video becuase-as you also notice that in screenshots-there is no combat developed yet, which further proves my point that they have been slowed down by something in development of this game.
Yea i agree with your comment, but you know what makes people say OHs and AHs about these screenshots, it's because this will one of the unique sandbox MMOs out there, so no matter they say many people will cherish this game. I would love the game as much as anyone else when it comes out but i look at things pragmatically.
You're simply wrong M4ko. Community testers are in beta, and I don't mean MHS employees like Moll. Obviously, there is a combat system, we saw a combat video years ago, rough as it was (it was an alpha video after all). There's pragmatism, and then there's denial for the sake of putting a game down.

When a developer tells me to wait for a new video in Jan/Feb and still didn't show anything as of yet, then there's nothing to make a video from. Easy as that Harabeck.
Masthead had a good start two and a half years ago, yes, but the whole thing just went downhill from there.
They started to silence and even permaban critical people in their forums and that's all I need to know about a developer and about the state of the game.
It's not worth it following anymore with the events that happened since february.
Im not trying to put the game down, i do wanna play it. They said that they decided to totally redo combat so that video that we saw is pobably not part of the game anymore.
I'm not speaking of banning trolls, I'm speaking of perma-banning very old and active community-members, because they decided to ask some critical questions after over two years of contributing to the community.
That leves a very bad taste.
And yes. Pre-release-forums ARE part of the game.

These videos are no longer valid, as they redid the whole system. Additionally, we're talking of new footage and not some 1 1/2 years old stuff.
Actually they are very much valid as they show everything. The only thing not valid is the combat as they did a total revamp of that.
