Lord of the Rings Online : Consignment Quests & Server Names

Posted Sep 02, 2010 by Suzie Ford

Opening the Lord of the Rings Online game client reveals a pair of announcements for Turbine. Consignment quests will not be available after September 7th and players are urged to complete them before that time. Secondly, developers have announced the names of four new servers being brought online in anticipation of hordes of new players for the F2P version set to go live on September 10th.

ALERT: If you currently have active crafting consignment quests, please cancel or complete these quests before server maintenance begins on Tuesday, Sept 7.  These quests (available in Overhill, Silverdeep Mine, Combe Lumber Camp, or Duillond) will no longer be available once Volume III, Book 2 goes live.

Current Subscribers and returning players will be able to access LOTRO Free-to-Play on the North American servers starting September 8th and Head Start players will be the first to play on our newest servers! The following worlds will be available starting September 8, 2010:

To help players organize their friends and Kinmates, the official server forums for these worlds are now available.

  • Riddermark
  • Crickhollow
  • Dwarrowdelf
  • Imladris

NM, the original post must've been edited to state the consignment quests were the crafting quests, or I just missed it.

I was a subscriber to LORTO for just over a year now. I signed up for the beta and got excepted last month.  I let my sub run out figuring why bother paying for the last month when there is only 2 weeks left over and I am in the free to play beta.  Well don't ya know You have to be a pay to be part of the Free to play beta.  I am really confused right now!!!  LOL

Oh cool, this is going to happen right before I start my vacation. Since I'm broke and need to get some things done to my house I'll at least have some cheap entertainment. Can't wait!

I didn't have an active subscription and had no problem playing the beta (been in it since early July) and will also be in the head-start. I don't see what there is to be confused about...

Now if they would only make the Dark side a playable faction and maybe neutral faction made up of races from both sides that could lean to one side or the other depending on their actions and choices(EQish) and then implemented pvp in the actual game itself with maybe questlines and dynamic events that led up to large scale pvpve battles/skirmishes over contested territories that maybe gave the victors at the time a special buff or something til it was rested from their hands by another faction this game would be truly epic.
