Eden Eternal is now packed with more MMO goodness for players in the form of new dungeons, a level cap increase, improved features and much more. There are new level 80 dungeons and an updated crafting system for players to explore in the first major update since the Reawakening patch.
The Eloise Plains, a new map, constitutes a common route through the knight’s realm, and contains two new dungeons. The Meteor Crater is the impact site of a large meteor, which has brought rare crystal deposits with it, which are to be found amongst the smoldering landscape. Players should also seek their fortunes in the second dungeon, the Dark Tide Cave.
Hayward Seavale, a new lakeside map, has been seriously affected by the meteor shower and faces many new dangers. CD ProjektRED has published an open letter to fans of the Witcher series to let them know that the final game in the trilogy, Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, will be delayed until February 2015. The letter indicates that the team felt that the few extra months will allow them to "achieve the quality that will satisfy" them.
Ever since we started working on the third installment in The Witcher franchise, it has been our aim to produce a title that would take our 11 years of experience in creating RPGS and distill them into a quintessence, into a game that would effectively crown those years. At the same time, we have wanted The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to expand creative boundaries, set new benchmarks, develop the genre as a whole. Ultimately, you, the players, must get an unforgettable adventure to experience in a vast, open world – and that’s most important. We’ve created a story that flows naturally, cinematically, rendered it in amazing sound and visuals, while preserving full freedom of choice – all for you. We knew this to be an ambitious plan, but believed we could achieve it by bringing together our team with its creative energies and current gaming platforms with their technical capabilities. A project this vast and complex would inevitably require special care in its final stages, manual fine-tuning of many details, thorough testing time and again.
We recently reexamined what we had achieved thus far, and faced a choice about the game’s final release date. The decision we made was difficult, thoroughly considered, and ultimately clear and obvious. We could have released the game towards the end of this year as we had initially planned. Yet we concluded that a few additional months will let us achieve the quality that will satisfy us, the quality gamers expect from us. Consequently, we have set the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for February 2015.
Dear gamers - we know many of you would have liked to play The Witcher 3 sooner, as soon as possible, even. We’re sorry to make you wait longer than you, or we, initially assumed you would. At the same time, we believe the game will prove to be worth the wait and meet the expectations you have of us. We believe The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be an exceptional RPG, one of the best, providing many hours of wonderful entertainment.
Dear shareholders – we are aware of the responsibility that rests with us and thank you for the trust you have granted us thus far. We firmly believe that quality – more than any other factor – determines a game’s success, and that the decision we have made is thus equally valid in business terms.
The Board of CD PROJEKT S.A

Trion Worlds has announced a new digital games platform that will offer users all Trion games as well as "hand picked" games from developers around the world. Called "Glyph", the new software is a lightweight platform and will make it easier for players to find high quality games to try out.
Trion will be looking for games that players will want to spend time with and developers that have both passion and promise, inviting them to benefit from the millions of dollars the company invests in marketing and promotion every year, and to make their titles more discoverable to the gamers that make up the 10+ million and growing registered Trion Worlds customers.
Glyph was born of a desire of Trion’s teams to leverage its technology to help more developers connect with audiences they need to in order to thrive, and is intended to be player- and developer-friendly. All titles sold through Glyph will be delivered free from the Digital Rights Management (DRM) utilities that cause so many problems for gamers, while single player games will not require an always-on connection in order to be played.
Check out the Glyph site for more information.
With the Elder Scrolls Online launch less than a month away now, there’s no doubt the Zenimax team is burning the midnight oil on getting the game out the door and fully polished. Yet, with several key items of beta feedback from the testers emerging over the past few weeks, the team is still focusing on addressing these pre-launch. The road toward launch seems to lie in listening to the players, even at this late stage. That responsiveness is reassuring, and it’s bringing us back to some of the greater purpose of beta testing.

When Module 3: Icewind Dale hits Neverwinter servers, players will stop being mere adventurers and become mercenaries by having to choose from either the Ten-Towners or Arcane Brotherhood faction. A new blog post lays out a few details about how that will work.
Once you select a faction to work for, you will be taking on contracts from the leaders: Bowen Brant, leader of Ten-Towners, and Anara the Cerulean, leader of the Arcane Brotherhood. These contracts, which will differ depending on which faction you are in, will send you off to Icewind Pass and Dwarven Valley to collect Black Ice, fight vicious beasts, and more. It is here where you will encounter mercenaries of the rival faction and must fend off attacks while you complete your own mission.

If there's a truly accurate figure available for the total number of people who currently play F2P MMOGs, I'd love to know what it is. That said, it seems pretty safe to think it's in the tens of millions. Indeed, even higher isn't out of the question. So, whenever I see yet another statement to the effect that (almost) every offering in the entire category is bad, I can't help but ask whether their players agree. Invariably, my answer is that they don't.

Wargaming has announced a new Map Madness campaign for XBox 360 players of World of Tanks that will run from March 18th-24th. During the limited time event, players attempt to unlock three new maps by doing what they do best: Destroying enemy tanks.
Starting March 18th and running until March 24th, tankers around the world will be able to unlock the following maps:
- Lakeville—unlocked when 10 million cumulative tanks destroyed.
- El Halluf—unlocked when 25 million cumulative tanks destroyed.
- Prokhorovka—unlocked when 40 million cumulative tanks destroyed.
The urban Lakeville is a deeply strategic location where the careful use of buildings and cover become the ultimate key to team success. The desert-based El Halluf provides a plethora of key strategic ambush spots for careful players. Prokhorovka, a classic battle arena from the PC version of World of Tanks, combines both open space and an urban setting to create an extremely balanced map, incredibly popular with eSports players.

Go to any forums for MMOs and you will eventually find people bemoaning the fact that every MMO out there is the same. Maybe they use words like “WoW clone” or “copycat” but the idea is always the same, there just isn’t enough variety in MMOs. And yes, the industry is filled with one fantasy game after another. But there are other games that get over looked. Whenever I see someone complaining all MMOs are the same I ask them, “What about The Secret World?”
