The Atlas Reactor team has posted to the official game forums to let players know that it will be transitioning to a buy to play revenue format over the coming weeks. As a result, there are some changes coming to those who have been involved in testing and who have spent money on packs. Most notably, these folks now own the game and will have access to all freelancers in perpetuity.

Nexon has announced that its flight-based MMO, Riders of Icarus, will be ready for open beta beginning July 6th. In addition, the limited time Founders' Packs have been detailed and can be pre-purchased starting today. Prices range from $25-$85.

All the chatter in the new hotness that is team-based online shooters seems focused on Blizzard's upcoming release. But for my money, the spotlight shines on Battleborn from Gearbox Software. I know it's bad form to compare games, but since this isn't yet the official review let's be "that guy". There are tons of team-based shooters coming out these days. Overwatch, LawBreakers, Paladins, and so forth. But of all these, the one I find myself having the most fun with is Battleborn, which just launched this week on PC, XB1, and PS4.

Battleborn is now officially released worldwide on PC, PlayStation 4 and XBox One. Players can start the fight utilizing all 25 heroes and take part in Story Mode and team-based PvP. Five DLC packs will be releasing soon that will include new heroes, skins, and gear.

Kill Strain is a free to play, top-down action game with a five versus two versus five, shifting structure. Kill Strain sees two teams of humans take on a team of mutants that are trying to corrupt the humans and add them to their side. All the meanwhile, the humans are fighting to stave off the mutants while gathering resoueces to survive. The game is a blend of MOBA, shooter, and strategy, and is expected for PS4 in 2015
