Square Enix has announced that the v2.2 patch for Final Fantasy: A Realm Reborn will be released today. Called "Through the Maelstrom", the patch brings new hard mode dungeons, a brand new dungeon and a new storyline.

Sony Online Entertainment has announced that after a successful alpha run, EverQuest Next: Landmark has officially entered closed beta testing. In preparation for today's CBT launch, alpha servers were wiped, though players were able to save templates of all of the things created during alpha for redeployment in the beta.

Enter Blizzard Entertainment and one of its three powerhouse titles: Diablo III. Since being released in 2012, the game has been successful but seemingly less so than its predecessors. Now with the first expansion, Reaper of Souls, Diablo III is finally the game it should have been all along.

Facebook has entered into a deal that would see the social networking giant purchase Occulus VR for approximately two billion dollars. According to Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg, Occulus VR is the gaming platform of tomorrow.

This week at GDC, a new MMO made an unexpected debut to join the ranks of new and upcoming games. Skyforge will take your character on a journey from immortality to godliness as you ascend slowly into godhood. This Sci-Fi Fantasy MMO has a lot of interesting new features and we will begin to highlight a few here. The team who made Allods Online has joined with Obsidian Entertainment to create Skyforge which will run as a free to play MMO with a huge world on a single server, and a strong action combat play-style that changes with each class you choose.

The Elder Scrolls Online is a fantasy MMORPG from Zenimax Online Studios and Bethesda Softworks based on the popular Elder Scrolls series. The game takes place during the Age of Heroes, 1,000 years before the events of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and will feature classic regions of the Tamriel game world, including Morrowind, Daggerfall, and Skyrim. The Elder Scrolls Online will have solo and group questing, public dungeons, guilds, and massive PvP warfare that sets the game's three player factions against one another for control over the region of Cyrodiil and the throne of Tamriel.
