Wakfu? Where do they get these names?

Turn based combat?  Unique huh?  Well, sorry to inform you Wakfu people but turn based combat makes your game a strategy game and not a MMO.   MMORPG needs to stop putting strategy game announcements on this site, this is not the place for it.

Where do they get their names? Well just check out the races:  Xelor= Rolex (backwards), Cra= Arc (it means Bow, in french),  Sram= Mars (a chocolate bar) etc.

Anyways, I got the beta key long before this handout and I've played a litte. Can't say anything about the game because it's CLOSED beta, but I can tell you it's gonna be way better than Dofus will ever be.

P.S. In fact Wakfu and Dofus are more MMO than most MMO out there :|

Just because it's turn based doesn't mean it's a strategy. Is Heroes 3 a strategy? Think before you write.

It IS a MMORPG. "MMO" because there will be up to thousands of players in one realm, playing at the same time on a persisting world. "RPG" because that's what it is, a role playing game. Tactical, Turn Based, Real Time are just a kind of battle system. Ever heard of Final Fantasy games? They are RPGs too...

Its not instanced turn based is it? and does that mean you cant have like group turn based fights?

How it worked in Dofus. Was that, you would see mobs running around. So you run up to one and you enter this instanced battle, BUT on the map, there appears this big sword stuck in the ground(or some graphic) that represents there is a battle going on there. Other people can run up to that sword and click ti join in your turn based battle with the enemy. So you do bring people into your battle with you. I don't remember a party system ever being implemented in Dofus, you just ran around with that person you were friend's with and would agree on what battle to get into.

Give me a break, turn based combat automatically indicates it is STRATEGY and NOT a MMO!  This is a strategy game through and through. 

I could really use a map for this game right now. I am so stinking lost.

People are creating multiple accounts to get extra keys. For the next batch make some kind of competition so everyone has a chance, and not just one person with 50 fake accounts who just has to click a link to collect free keys.

I got my key and created an account and entered the key to the account, but I can't login to wakfu forums to download the client or get info at all, but for some reason it lets me login to forums on dofus...any help?

Here's the English download page if that would help. I don't see a place that you have to login for that part.

Wow thanks a bunch, it works. It shoots a pop up for ur password and username to begin downloading, lucky for me my user and pass both worked on it. I guess its just broke on the forum part, thanks again :D

Bah, silly monkeys, Turn Based doesn't automatically mean Strategy.

it says there was supposed to be another giveaway today, july 4th, and i waited and waited and nothing...i refreshed the page like a million times between the times of 9 - 12 last night just in case it started in another time zone and nothing. the page never changed. did it even happen? is it still going to happen at a later time today?
