Video Games Live Concert in Washington

Video Games Live, a concert event featuring music and images from popular video games, have announced that they will be holding two performances at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall in Washington D.C.

Washington D.C. - June 4, 2007 - Video Games Live will perform at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts for two performances by the National Symphony Orchestra. The concerts take place Friday and Saturday, June 29 and 30, at 8 p.m. in the Kennedy Center Concert Hall designated a National Monument in 1971. This groundbreaking event will mark the first time a video game concert has been performed in Washington D.C.

Video Games Live is an immersive concert event currently sweeping the world and featuring music from the biggest video games of all time performed along with exclusive video footage and music arrangements, synchronized lighting, solo performers, electronic percussion, live action and unique interactive segments.

"What an incredible honor for us and the entire video game industry to be playing at such a historical landmark with such a prestigious symphony," said video game composer and Video Games Live co-creator Jack Wall. Fellow co-creator and game composer Tommy Tallarico added "We've already started inviting as many local politicians and their families as possible. It's important for us to show everyone how incredibly creative, artistic and significant video games and the culture surrounding them have become."
