Ultima visionary Richard Garriott is making his return to gaming. The former NCsoft executive and space tourist is now the technical director of an Austin-based social media company called Portalarium, which will be "developing and publishing online social games, virtual worlds and related services and products."

The virtual worlds bit stood out to us, I wonder what we'll see from Garriott's latest venture? The projects we currently know are in development include a Texas hold 'em Facebook game called Sweet @$! Poker, as well as the Portalarium Player, which is a browser plug-in used to allow games to run seamlessly within the various major social networking services.
