For Whom the Bell Tolls - Service to Cease in December

Civilization Online that has been in "soft" launch open beta for about a year in South Korea, is never going to spread to a worldwide audience. According to Kotaku, the official Civilization Online website has been updated with a notice that all monetary services for the game are now shut down and that game servers will be closing on December 7th.


Logging in Daily for Free Stuff is Never a Bad Thing!

From November 3-30, Riders of Icarus players can log into the game to earn some pretty sweet loot just for showing up to the party. Each daily log in will earn a reward that can include a Magma Hound mount, loot boxes, Heroic Seal Stone extractors, Familiar Growth Potions and more.


Game Awards to Use Multiple Broadcast Platforms Including VR

The 2016 Game Awards is going to set a new standard for digitally broadcast events when it goes live on December 1st. ArtCraft Entertainment has scored a major development milestone with today's announcement that Crowfall has achieved over $3M in crowd sourced funding. With other sources added in, ArtCraft has brought in $10M to bring Crowfall to life.

NCSoft has announced that the next Master X Master (MXM) play test event will be held from November 22nd through November 28th. During the event, players will assist the development team with Ranked PvP activities.


EU Fanfest Ticket Sales Info Released for Feb 2017 Event

Square Enix has revealed the ticket pricing information for the Final Fantasy XIV EU Fanfest scheduled for February 18-19, 2017 in Frankfurt, Germany. Active subscribers can take advantage of a pre-sale event on November 2nd. Active players are defined as those who were subscribing between September 1, 2016 and October 6, 2016 and beyond. A special email will be sent out to qualified players.


iOS Version Launches, Full Cross Platform Action Achieved

Artix Entertainment has announced that the iOS version of Adventure Quest 3D has officially launched into open beta. This brings all versions of the game to open beta status. Cross platform game play is a big part of the Adventure Quest 3D experience with players on PC, Mac, iOS or Android systems able to play together.

Amazingly Detailed Illidan Statue Shown in New Video

Blizzard has put out a pretty amazing video to show the creation of a new highly detailed statue of the World of Warcraft anti-hero, Illidan Stormrage. The video shows off snips of the creative process including computer modeling, 3D printing, hand sculpting and hand painting. The new statue will be up for grabs beginning on November 3rd.


Help Raise Money for Men's Health Via Movember Foundation

The Dungeons & Dragons Online forum has been updated with the news that Team DDO is raising money for men's health via the Movember Foundation initiative. To give the community a chance to participate, a speackial Team DDO page has been set up as well as a personal one for Jerry "Cordovan" Snook. Participating in Movember simply means that men shave their faces on November 1st and then grow a mustache for the balance of the month. Women can participate via the Move Program sees folks MOVing!

Several Classes Affected by Today's PvP Hotfix

The World of Warcraft community site has been updated with a fairly lengthy list of changes made to several classes and specs with specific regard to PvP. Many of the affected classes have had base stats tweaked to better balance the game. For instance, while Frost Death Knights have had Strength reduced by 10%, Warriors have had Strength and Stamina boosted by 10%. In addition to PvP updates, smaller fixes have been applied to class halls, dungeons & raids, and items.


Perfect World Joins Up for Extra Life 2016

Perfect World Entertainment will be taking part in this weekend's Extra Life 2016 event on Saturday, November 5th. During the event which supports the Children's Miracle Network, developers and players of all PWE's games will be taking part in a 13-hour stream with donations heading to the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital.
