Arcfall has a brand new page on Steam and will be heading to Early Access release in the near future. The game is currently in its pre-alpha stage but it's got big plans for the future with community input. Features currently in the game include non-instanced player housing, crafting, farming, mounts, full loot on death, PvE zones, classless skill-based character system, and much more.
In a Massively Multiplayer World where you can fight, craft, explore and live, Arcfall offers a game style that captures old school RPG games with modern quality. Emerge yourself in a world where you can craft your own weapons and armor. Own your own house and fill it with furniture that enhances your character. Hire merchants to sell your goods to other players making Arcfall a pure player driven economy.
To give the community some insight into the game, the Arcfall team posted a "quick Q&A" on the forums. Several interesting answers were posted:
- currently "buy to play" is planned for release at a $19.99 price point
- servers will be wiped during EA
- 24-different skills can be learned
- villages are safe zones
- Unity Engine for server side, proprietary engine in development for 10 years that allows 2-3k players on a server
