The latest Neverwinter blog discusses a re-interpreted way of fishing that will arrive with the Sea of Moving Ice zone that will be added to the game soon.
Players will gain access to the first tier of a new boat called a "khyek". Over time, others can be found that feature improved speed and appearance.
When in the khyek, players get a new interface specifically designed for fishing. Fishing in the Sea of Moving Ice will require a special rod and, while fish can be taken from any point in the water, limited time 'pools' will spawn that will yield more fish. Fish can then be collected to turn in for reputation, harvested for special special materials for restoring artifact weapons or simply collected in a new page dedicated to fish.
