Last week on the Neverwinter Foundry Focus I asked the viewers to decide which mission our characters would embark upon through the use of a straw poll. The choices were Secret Agent 34 which required our heroes to defuse a nuclear crisis in Neverwinter. (That’ one pissed off control wizard). The second choice was Bill’s Tavern, which is your standard campy zombie romp. Last on the list was The 27th Level. All of these missions were authored by Dzogen.
After a few minutes, The 27th Level was the clear winner. The 27th Level is a short mission that not only has your hero participate in a dungeon romp but tasks you to complete 5 challenges by a secret organization. This mission does qualify for the daily foundry mission quest. It is recommended for solo players but I brought along a friend just in case. You can never go wrong taking a cleric with you. That is unless he decides to complete the quests before you know what the next step on your adventure is.
For the first time in a foundry focus we ran across a maze that required the player to trigger items that further progress the challenge. This culminated in us crossing over a room on a tightrope. Our strength was also challenged by a boss type encounter, our brains through riddles, we even had to go so far as to find a needle in a haystack while fighting off a horde of undead chickens. To top it all off Dzogen played homage to The Princess Bride. I give this mission overall a Mithral Star and it is a great one to run if you are looking to quickly complete a foundry mission for your daily quest.
