Club Penguin: Kids Donate 12 Billion Virtual Coins |
Club Penguin devs have released a new video championing kids' giving over the holidays. During the "Coins for Change" campaign, players were encouraged to donate virtual coins that would later see tangible giving in the form of a million dollars split among three charities. Players were given a list of charities to choose from and voting netted the lucky charitable recipients.
Here's the breakdown of how much real money will go to each cause:Great job, everyone! Thanks again for all the coins you donated. We'd love to hear what you think of the results. Be sure to let us know in the comments!
- $300,000 will go to build safe places
- $360,000 will go to protect the earth
- $340,000 will go to provide medical help
Until then... Waddle on!-Club Penguin Team

Something comes along about video games that is positive, yet falls on deaf ears... Let this had been a story about some guy mass murdering people after a session of World of Warcraft though.. We'd probably be on page 100 right now..
MIssed this article on the 11th. Kids did good. Well done evrybody involved.
Have never enjoyed the game but good on the company for doing such a wonderful thing and good on the players for donating coins they could have spent on themselves. Something you don't see much from gaming companies so well done!
